Cotswold Activity Day Tour — Private Adventures & Sightseeing
Tour Overview
Full Day (8-hours)
This private tour pairs one or two exhilarating Cotswold activities, however adventurous you’re feeling, with the scenic charm of the region’s honey-stone villages and countryside, all without the stress of driving or planning. Choose from an exhilarating climb with far-reaching countryside views, a hands-on introduction to Olympic-sport archery, an electric quad trek across a private 500-acre estate, or a “have-a-go” clay pigeon shooting session at an award-winning shooting ground. Each activity is led by fully qualified instructors and tailored to suit first-timers and more experienced thrill-seekers alike.
Your day begins with collection directly from your accommodation. Depending on which activity you choose, your guide will build a route through some of the Cotswolds’ most beautiful villages and towns either side of your session; wander honey-coloured streets, admire historic buildings, stop for photos, or enjoy a relaxed refreshment break along the way. For lunch, you’ll pause for a leisurely lunch at a charming Cotswold countryside pub, all low beams, warm welcomes and hearty home-cooked fare, the perfect way to refuel before or after your adventure. No two routes are the same, and each is tailored to your interests and start/end location for a truly personalised day.
After your activity (or activities), relax as you’re driven back to your accommodation via more scenic countryside routes.
Choose your activity:
Electric quad trekking — exclusive, instructor-led electric quad treks across a 500-acre Farncombe Estate, with breathtaking views over Broadway. Each bespoke, private-group experience combines the thrill of an electric adventure with the tranquillity of the countryside — phone-free time in nature, with full training and safety equipment provided, and your instructor on hand to capture your picture-perfect moments.
Clay pigeon shooting — try the exciting sport of clay shooting at an award-winning shooting ground near Cheltenham, founded by six-times Olympic coach Ian Coley MBE. Perfect for complete beginners, the “Have-A-Go” experience is led by friendly, experienced instructors and includes gun hire, cartridges, clays, and all safety equipment. Low-recoil cartridges and smaller-bore guns are available for novices and younger or less experienced shots, and covered stands mean the session can go ahead whatever the weather.
Climbing — take on outdoor climbing walls with far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside, suited to complete beginners through to experienced climbers, with full instruction and safety equipment provided.
Archery — have a go at this Olympic-sport experience led by professional archers, progressing from the traditional wooden recurve bow through to Olympic recurve, horse bow, and beyond, depending on session length. Suitable for ages 8 and up.
